HU traveled to Winona Lake where the Lancers of Grace College handed the Foresters a 3-1 conference loss.

Grace took advantage of an HU breakdown in the first two minutes of the game to take a 1-0 lead but the Foresters countered with their own goal six minutes later when Derek Ressler found the back of the net off a Marvin Martinez corner kick.

Both teams generated several scoring opportunities over the next 55 minutes but it wasn't until the 63:33 mark that Grace tallied its second goal of the game. The Lancers went on to put the game out of reach with its third goal of the evening with just over five minutes left in the contest.
The Foresters outshot the Lancers 20-15. HU keeper Kevin Keske recorded six saves on the day. "We definitely weren't at our best tonight. We lacked composure and creativity," said Coach Lawson. "Looking at the stats I'm pleased we generated 14 shots on goal; however, now we need to find a way to convert a higher percentage of those scoring opportunities into actual goals."

With the loss, the Foresters drop to 8-2 on the season, 0-1 in conference play.
