HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University Men’s Soccer Coach Russ Lawson has added a standout Alberta, Canada product to his roster for next season with the signing of Tyson Kalischuk.
During the past four years in his hometown of Calgary, Kalischuk has honed his skills at the National Sports Academy Soccer Program while playing for Chinook United. With this experience, he has competed at some of the highest levels in the province, Western Canada and the state of Washington.
“Tyson is a gifted attack minded player who reads the game extremely well and has the ability to finish,” commented Coach Lawson. “One of the things that I am most excited about is that Tyson is a catalyst for his club and he generates scoring chances with his creativity. We have those same expectations for him here in the green and white. I am also encouraged by his work rate both on and off the field as Tyson will enter as an HU Honor student looking to study in the sciences and sports.”
Tyson is the son of Rocky and Kathi from Calgary, Alberta Canada.
