Two Foresters earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

The NAIA has announced that 219 Division II Women’s Basketball student-athletes and 114 Division II Men’s Basketball student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Among the list of honorees was junior forward Kelsey Green (Van Buren, Ind., Eastbrook High School) and senior forward Alex Nafziger (Wauseon, Ohio, Pettisville High School).

Recipients of the award must have at least a junior academic standing and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
