Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of March 19-25. Women’s softball junior Kendra Stahl and men’s baseball freshman Andrew Drummond earned the honor for their outstanding efforts during the week’s competition.
Kendra Stahl, a physical education major from Archbold, Ohio (Archbold High School), helped lead the Foresters to a successful spring break week of action by leading the team in hitting and playing error-free throughout the nine games. Stahl went 10 for 24 at the plate, which included a double and a triple for a .417 average. She also was five for five in stolen bases for the week. The Foresters return to action on March 27 when they travel to Indiana Wesleyan University at 3 p.m.
Andrew Drummond, a freshman from Huntington, Ind. (Huntington North High School), had an outstanding week at the plate for the Forester baseball team. In six games, Drummond banged out 12 hits including two doubles and a triple in 19 plate appearances for a .632 average and a .842 slugging percentage. He also knocked in six runs during the stretch. Huntington next will play host to the Bethel College Pilots on March 27 at 4 p.m.
