Kock named AOW for second consecutive week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 4-10. Men’s basketball senior Alex Kock earned the honor for the second consecutive week.

Alex Kock, a physical education and health major from Auburn, Ind. (DeKalb High School), averaged 22.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to help lead Huntington to two more wins during the week. Against MCC rival Taylor University, Kock netted 22 points and grabbed nine boards in the Foresters’ 61-44 win, and in Huntington’s 67-64 victory over NAIA Division I 16th-ranked Georgetown College, he took game-high honors with 23 points on 10-15 shooting and added 10 boards. Huntington will return to action on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. when they host Olivet Nazarene University.
