Huntington, Ind. - With the 2011 high school basketball season just under way, the Forester men’s basketball team has inked its first recruit for the 2012 season with the signing of Churubusco High School standout Tyler Arrowsmith.
Arrowsmith, a 6’8 forward who’s known for his shot-blocking ability, helped guide the Eagles to a 15-7 record last season and a second place finish in the NECC with a league record of 9-1. As a junior he averaged 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4 blocks per contest and for his efforts was an NECC All-Conference pick and member of the All-State Honorable Mention Team.
"We are excited that Tyler has decided to be a Forester,” said head coach Ty Platt. “He is a big kid who can score, has a nose for the ball, and has tremendous upside to his game. Tyler will help fill a role that we will need in the post next year. I am confident Tyler will have a great career and will leave his mark on our men's basketball program."
