Forester media guides receive national recognition

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University 2005-2006 men and women’s basketball media guides were recently awarded national top-ten honors from the NAIA-SIDA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Sports Information Directors Association).

For the third year in a row, the Forester men’s guide won best cover in the country in the men’s basketball brochure division. The men’s overall guide also placed tenth. The Forester women’s overall guide placed fifth in the women’s basketball brochure contest. This is the fifth time in as many years that Huntington University has received national recognition in the NAIA-SiDA Publications Contest.

Julie Babb, publications and advertising coordinator, designed the men’s award-winning cover. Lori Culler, Sports Information Director and Bridger Fetters, Public Relations student assistant, along with Babb were responsible for the content, layout and design of both the men and women’s guides.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past eight years, Huntington has produced 52 NAIA All-America honors and 107 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
