Playing at home has its advantages and the Foresters took advantage of them as they shot a 291 to win their own Invitational held at LaFontaine Golf Club.
Sophomore Spencer Batt paced the Foresters with a three-under 69 earning himself medalist honors in the match. Ryan Bonner followed that up with a 73 and Patrick Davis shot a 74. Justin Imel and Dan Schroeder both finished with a 75 and Jeff McVicker had an 81.
Spring Arbor was second in the final standings with a 301 followed by Davenport (305), Tri-State and Cornerstone (309), St. Francis (315), Grace (330) and Goshen (356).
"Shooting a 291 is a big boost for our confidence as we head into the conference tournament on Monday," said Coach Green. "I am very pleased with how everyone played today, but Spencer took a giant step forward shooting a 69 and Patrick came through with a great score as well.
The men's record now stands at 22-29-3 on the season.
