Bonner finishes 25th

Huntington University senior Ryan Bonner shot a four-over-par 75 in the final round of the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship to finish the tournament tied with three others for 25th place in the individual standings with a 302.
Oklahoma Christian University led wire-to-wire to win the team title. The Eagles earned their first men's golf NAIA national title after three runner-up finishes in the last eight years, including a second-place showing in 2008.

Sam Cyr of Point Loma Nazarene University (Calif.) closed with his best two rounds of the tournament to win his second consecutive individual national championship.

The NAIA also announced its list All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2008-09 season. Two Foresters, Bonner and Spencer Batt, were among the honorees. Recipients of the award must have a junior or senior academic standing and carry a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.
