Belt named Forester Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - HUNTINGTON, IN— The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of April 16-22, 2012. Men’s golf junior Mickey Belt earned the honor for his outstanding efforts at the Malone University Invitational over the weekend.

The Monticello, Indiana native shot a one-under-par 71 on Friday and turned in a 74 on Saturday to finish with a 145 and pace the Foresters to a second place finish. He and teammate Jordan Dawes finished in a tie for fourth out of 53 golfers.

As a team, the Foresters shot a 13-over-par 589 (291, 298). HU moves to 50-17 on the season. They are back in action on Thursday to compete in the Spring Arbor University Invitational. 
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 187 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
