HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University Coach Tom King has announced that South Adams standout Hannah Moore has signed a letter of intent to continue her cross country and track careers at Huntington this fall.
As evidenced by her numerous accolades at both the state and local levels, Moore will look to make an immediate impact for the Foresters. In cross country this three-time ACAC individual champion has also qualified for semi-state as well as been named First Team All-ACAC each of her prep years. As a junior she was named IATCCC Second Team All-State and received her second IATCCC All-State honor this past fall as an Honorable Mention pick. She currently holds the 5K record of 19:08 for South Adams.
Moore has had an equally impressive career as a member of the Starfire track program. As a three-time regional qualifier and two-time Hoosier State Relays qualifier in the 3200 meter run, she was also crowned the ACAC and sectional champion of this race in 2009. She has also claimed two ACAC 1600 meter championship titles and racked up numerous honors as a member of the school’s record-setting 4x800 relay team (9:58.47).
Ranked tenth in her class, Moore carries a 3.88 GPA and plans to major in nursing.
