The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is proud to announce the 2007-08 scholar teams. NAIA student-athletes around the country work diligently throughout the year for academic excellence at their respective institutions. This year over 750 teams earned at least a 3.0 team grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the 2007-08 academic year, as defined by its institution.
Five Huntington University teams were nominated and earned recognition in their respective sports. The Forester women’s tennis team earned the highest ranking, placing 18th among other women’s tennis teams with a 3.48 grade point average. The men’s cross country team and the women’s indoor track team were both 25th in their individual sports with a 3.16 and a 3.03 gpa respectively. The women’s outdoor track team placed 36th with a 3.24 gpa and the women’s cross country team was 68th with a 3.07 grade point average.
