The Foresters (19-20, 8-12) struggled to put much of anything together offensively and dropped both games of the doubleheader to Marian College 7-2 and 8-1.

In game one, the Knights took a 4-0 lead with a run in the second and three in the third. HU put together four of their seven hits in the game in the top of the sixth to finally get on the scoreboard, but Marian responded with three more runs in their half of the frame to make it 7-1. The Foresters got one more in the seventh, but the Knights squelched the rally attempt quickly.

Michael Dalton went five an two-thirds innings in the loss for HU. He gave up seven runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five. Adam Culy had the Foresters only extra base hit with a double in the seventh. Austan Kas and Korey Grow each had a hit and a RBI.

In game two, HU couldn't figure out Marian hurler, Jason Moon, as they managed just two hits in the game. The Knights blew the game open with five runs in the fourth. The Foresters scored an unearned run in the top of the fifth, but Marian put the game out of reach with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Eric Randel was the pitcher of record for HU. He gave up five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one in three and two-thirds innings.
