Bowers named MCC Pitcher of the Week

Huntington, Ind. - Huntington University junior ace, Mitch Bowers, was named the baseball Mid-Central Conference (MCC) Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 28-April 3.

Bowers, a business major from Rochester, Indiana (Rochester High School), earned his third consecutive win on the mound Saturday afternoon when he lead the Foresters to a 3-0 win over Spring Arbor University. He pitched a complete game one-hit shutout in HU's home opener, giving up only two walks while striking out five. Bowers hasn't given up an earned run in his last 28 innings of play. His current ERA is 2.64.

The Foresters (5-12, 2-0) return to action on Tuesday, March 29, when they travel to Spring Arbor University for a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m.
