Yost earns Forester Athlete of Week honors

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 7-13. Women’s basketball sophomore Erica Yost earned the honor for her outstanding effort during the week’s competition.

Erica Yost, a recreational sports ministry major from Northville, Mich. (Ladywood High School), scored a career-high 19 points to lead Huntington to a come-from-behind 62-59 win over Spring Arbor University in the Foresters’ lone game of the week. She scored 11 of Huntington’s final 15 points to lead the comeback rally and finished the game shooting 6-10 from the field including 4-5 from behind the arc. Huntington (10-7) returns to action on Jan. 16 when they host NAIA Division II 5th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University at 7 p.m.
