Sheckler repeats as Forester Athlete of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 4-10. Men’s basketball senior Doug Sheckler earned the honor for the second consecutive week.

Doug Sheckler, an elementary education major from Columbia City, Ind. (Columbia City High School), had an outstanding performance in Huntington’s lone game of the week. His double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds helped the Foresters overcome an 18-point second half deficit to pull off the 66-63 come-from-behind win over Taylor University. The Foresters (18-8, 8-4) next travel to Michigan to take on the Cougars of Spring Arbor University on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.
