Kock garners Forester Athlete of the Week honors

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of December 5-11, 2005. Men’s basketball junior Alex Kock earned the honor for his excellent effort during the week’s competitions.

Alex Kock, a physical education and health major from Auburn, Ind. (DeKalb High School), averaged a double-double of 18.5 points and 11 rebounds and added 4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game in Huntington’s two victories during the week. In the Foresters’ 80-62 win over Grace College, Kock scored 16 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, dished out three assists, and had three blocks. Against the University of St. Francis (Ill.), he tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the 93-81 win. Huntington (11-3) returns to action on Saturday, December 17, 2005, when they host Calumet College of St. Joseph at 3 p.m.
