Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-17. Women’s basketball sophomore Jenna Donaldson and men’s indoor track freshman Tobias Sauter earned the honor for their outstanding efforts during the week’s competition.
Jenna Donaldson, an entrepreneurial/small business management major from Auburn, Ind. (DeKalb High School), had two strong individual performances for Huntington during the week. Donaldson averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds and was the team’s leading scorer in both games. She also was a combined 3-5 from behind the arc and 8-9 from the stripe. She is currently averaging 14 points and 6.6 boards per game for the Foresters. Huntington returns to action on Feb. 20 at Goshen College at 7 p.m.
Tobias Sauter
Tobias Sauter, a recreation management major from Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, won the 5000 meter run in 15:11.46 at the DePauw Indoor Classic. His winning time met NAIA qualifying standards to compete in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships March 6-8 in Johnson City, Tenn. The Foresters will next travel to Grand Valley State University to compete on Feb. 22 at 4 p.m.
