Davenport named Huntington's Athlete of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 10-16. Women’s basketball junior Lauren Davenport earned the honor for her outstanding effort during the week’s competition.

Lauren Davenport, an exercise science major from Andrews, Ind. (Huntington North High School), scored a career-high 29 points in Huntington’s lone game of the week against Olivet Nazarene University. She was 14 of 27 from the floor and also chipped in seven rebounds and five assists. Huntington (7-4) returns to action on Dec. 27 when they travel to Chicago to play in the St. Xavier University Christmas tournament.
