Benge named Huntington's Athlete of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7. Men’s basketball senior Kyle Benge earned the honor for his outstanding effort during the week’s competitions.

Kyle Benge, an elementary and special education major from Plymouth, Ind. (Plymouth High School), averaged 24.5 points on 68 percent shooting from the field and 92 percent from the line in Huntington’s two games during the week. He scored 18 points in Huntington’s 75-48 win over Taylor and established a new career high with 31 points against Grace on Saturday. Huntington (8-4, 1-1) returns to action on Dec. 18 when they host Trinity International University at 7 p.m.
