Huntington, Ind.—Huntington University professors Dr. Paul Worfel and Kristie Worfel will present “A Concert of Sound and Silence” at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.
The Worfels will share their love of the arts in an evening of musical and silent expression. Kristie has performed and educated audiences using the art of mime in the United States and abroad for more than 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education and is working on her master’s degree in counseling at Huntington University. She also has completed studies with Mimeistry International at the apprenticeship level and is working on the journeyman requirements.
Her husband Paul received his master’s degree in trombone performance and literature from Eastman School of Music, a master’s degree in education from Western Michigan University and a doctorate in curriculum studies from Indiana University in Bloomington.
Paul serves as assistant professor of education, and Kristie is an adjunct professor in the Department of Theatre Arts.
Through the recital, Kristie will share her talents of miming while Paul will perform on his trombone.
The concert is free and open to the public.
