Huntington, Ind.— Huntington College welcomes Sonic Flood in concert on Friday, October 11, 2002 at 7:00 in the Fieldhouse. Tickets are $12.00 for general admission, and the doors open at 6:00 p.m. For reservations and information, call (260) 359-4261 or click here.
Sonic Flood is a contemporary, dynamic, and creative band with a positive message and a passion to spread it. The five men have just introduced a new record to the collection. “Resonate is an album that is a multi-dimensional worship experience, and continues Sonic Flood’s mission to remain true to their calling to create music that will usher people into he presence of God,” says the band.
Sonic Flood reaches out to young and old alike, identifying with the hardships that plague day-to-day life. Lead singer Rick Heil knows from experience how hard just surviving can be. As a child he was diagnosed with a chronic digestive illness, Chrohn’s disease, and has battled it all his life. Heil is aware that many people have had devastating experiences like his own, and his response is to reach out with music.
The band members, Rick Heil as the lead vocals, Tom Michael on bass, Todd Shay on guitar, Brett Vargason on drums, and David Alan on keyboard, have been playing together since 1997. Concerts are a distinctive blend of traditional worship choruses boasting a hard-edge flair and some new songs penned by the members themselves.
Three talented groups that compliment Sonic Flood’s style -- Bliss, Cadet, and Jason Ingram -- will open the show on Friday. Each band has encountered much success since the Resonate tour started, and this performance promises to be just as great.
