Smith, Fetters receive December Peer Award

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington College Peer Award has been passed on to two individuals for the month of December. November’s recipients, Mrs. Linda Urschel and Mr. Joe Bickel, passed their awards along to Dr. Jerry Smith and Dr. Paul Fetters, respectively. The Peer Award was created to promote acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts of faculty and staff members.

Urschel, professor of English, passed her award along to Smith, professor of physics and chemistry. Smith is in his 37th year of service at the College.

Dr. Paul Fetters receives the December Peer Award from Mr. Joe Bickel.
Bickel, electrician in the Maintenance Department, passed his award along to Fetters, emeritus professor of practical theology. Fetters has served the institution for over 32 years.

Smith and Fetters will pass the award to two new recipients from another department during the month of January. For more information on the Peer Award, visit
