'Fresh Faces' to introduce new theatre talent

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Department of Theatre Arts will introduce new talent with “Fresh Faces,” an evening of scenes and songs, on Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

The department will show off their new class of talent through a collection of musical and theatrical pieces. Each piece is performed by an individual or a small group of new theater students who have been mentored through the process by more experienced theater students.

Philip Black, a sophomore theatre performance major from Fort Wayne, Indiana

Jonathan Huffman, a junior theatre performance and English double major from Syracuse, Ind.

Matthew Kaestner, a junior theatre performance major from Kingston, Tenn.

Glen Pearson, a sophomore theatre performance major from Naperville, Ill.

Rebekah Posegate, a senior theatre performance major from Lake Villa, Illinois

Cassandra Quinn Dyar, a senior theatre performance and sociology double major from Bedford, Ind.


Mentors who will direct songs are

Derek DeRoo, a sophomore choral education major from Zeeland, Mich.

Bethany Edlund, a sophomore a theatre performance major from Roanoke, Ind.

Meghan McClaine, a senior theatre education major from Greencastle, Ind.


Alicia Bonham, a senior theatre performance major from Upland, Ind., will mentor a dance routine.
