Wildcats hand HU first conference loss

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The HU men’s tennis team suffered its first conference loss Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 5-4 decision to Indiana Wesleyan. With this loss, the Foresters drop to 5-2 overall, 4-1 in league play.

Playing without Jose Hungria, Huntington played tight with the Wildcats but came up short with its shuffled line-up. Joseph Straznicky teamed up with Diego Inurritegui at No. 1 doubles to notch an 8-1 win over Kyle Johnson and Brandon Dubuque.

Vlad Khudziy continued his winning ways at #1 singles where he quickly disposed of Johnson 6-1, 6-3 while Straznicky and Inurritegui each won their respective singles match to round out HU’s scoring.
