Trolls outlast HU for the 1-0 win

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Despite a scoreless outing, the Forester women’s soccer team gave a talented Trinity Christian College squad all they could handle as the Trolls (4-1-1) finally scored in the 70th minute to claim the 1-0 victory.

It was an evenly matched contest with TCC holding a slight 12-10 advantage in shots taken. Both teams finished with seven shots on goal.

HU keeper Caitlin Adams recorded six saves in the losing effort.

Coach Tillett remains positive about his team’s progress. “This was another game versus a top notch opponent and another close competitive game. We continue to possess and move the ball well, while at the same time continue struggling to put the ball in the net.

“I thought it was our most complete effort of the season. I am very proud of the girls for holding true to working to improve one day to the next. It is a fantastic group of young women and I consider myself extremely blessed to work with them as they strive for excellence on and off the field.”

The Foresters (1-7) head into the conference portion of their season on Saturday when they travel to Taylor to play under the lights at 7:00 p.m.
