HUNTINGTON, Ind. - After opening up the season with two wins, the Forester women's tennis team met their match Tuesday afternoon as they dropped an 8-1 decision to conference foe Taylor University.

Alek Spasic teamed up with Cassie Kasicki to give Taylor's No. 1 doubles all they could handle but eventually succumbed to Kelsey Meyers and Cassie Fleming 8-6. The tandem of Jessica Abel and Katie Johnson also had a strong outing at the #2 spot in doubles play but came up short 8-6.

Things didn't get any easier for HU as its No. 3 doubles had to default due to injury forcing the Foresters to shuffle the bottom half of its singles line-up and give Taylor an early 3-0 lead heading into the final six matches. Kasicki was the only Forester to claim a win on the day as she overpowered Kim Henke 6-4, 6-4.

The Foresters (2-1, 0-1) will look to get back on track Friday when they host the University of Saint Francis at 4:00 p.m.
