The NAIA Division I Titans of Indiana University South Bend (8-3) used a stifling 2-3 zone to limit the women's basketball team (7-3) to 38 points as they upended HU 51-38 on Wednesday night.

As the first half score would attest, it was a defensive battle of the wills as both teams applied pressure at every position and left no shot uncontested. Allison Greene opened up play by knocking down the long ball to give HU the early 3-0 lead. Another Greene trey at the 7:19 mark gave the Foresters their largest lead of the half at 14-9. With baskets hard to come by, the Titans outscored HU over the final seven minutes and capped off their 10-4 run with a half court shot at the buzzer that hit nothing but the bottom of the net to go up 19-18.

After trading baskets to start the second half, IUSB took advantage of several defensive breakdowns by the Foresters to go up by seven, 34-27, with just under twelve minutes left. HU would cut it to six several possessions later but they would get no closer as shooting woes continued to haunt the Foresters. The Titans, on the other hand, shot 55.0 percent (11-for 20) from the field in the second half to outscore Huntington by 12 as they cruised to the 51-38 victory.

Greene was the lone Forester to score in double figures with 13 points. Amy Kramer finished with a team-high six rebounds and Lauren Meese recorded five rebounds, three assists and a career-high four blocks. Kimmie Hummer led the Titans with 11 points. Katie Hacker finished with seven points and a game-high eight boards.

The Foresters host Cedarville University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
