Speed scores 1,000th career point

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - With just over two minutes remaining in HU’s 64-49 win over Rochester College on Saturday, senior Pazia Speed reached a significant milestone by scoring her 1,000th career point on a 15-foot jumper.

Speed becomes the 21st Forester in Huntington history to reach the 1,000 point plateau. The 5-7 guard is currently averaging 18.0 points per game which places her 43rd in the nation in scoring. She is also ranked 11th in free throw percentage (94.3 percent) and 48th in assists per game (4.0).

To date, Speed has scored exactly 1,000 points in 88 games for a career average of 11.4 points per contest.
