Short joins HU's 1,000 point club

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University senior TJ Short reached a significant milestone in his career in HU’s 87-81 win over Bethel Tuesday night. Heading into the game against the Pilots, Short needed 14 points to become the 44th player to join Huntington’s 1000-point club. He reached this mark his on a 3-pointer with 10:46 remaining in the contest.

To date, Short has accumulated 1,002 points in 96 games for a 10.4 scoring average. He has shot 47.4 percent for his career, 42.7 percent from 3-point range and 81.3 percent from the foul line.

Short and his squad are currently in sole possession of second place in the Crossroads League standings with an 11-4 record. The Foresters are ranked No. 16 in the NAIA Division II National Rankings with an overall record of 22-5.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
