Schroeder, Kunze named Forester Athletes of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 13-19. Women’s volleyball junior Alyssa Schroeder and men’s soccer junior Brad Kunze earned the honors for their outstanding efforts during the week’s competitions.

Alyssa Schroeder, an elementary education major from Huntington, Ind. (Huntington North High School), helped lead Huntington to a 2-1 record for the week. Schroeder dished out 135 assists in the three matches for an average of 10.4 per game. She also chipped in 11 aces and four blocks for the week. The Foresters return to action on Oct. 22 when they travel to Grace College for a 7 p.m. start.

Brad Kunze
Brad Kunze, a recreation management major from Kettering, Ohio (Dayton Christian High School), was instrumental in leading the Foresters to their first conference win of the season. Kunze netted two goals, his second and third of the season, in Huntington’s 4-0 victory over Spring Arbor University. The Foresters will next travel to Holy Cross College on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.
