Newsome to continue bowling career at HU

/uploadedImages/News/News_Release_Images/Athletics/Newsome-Eleni.jpgHUNTINGTON, Ind. - Eleni Newsome, a right handed bowler from Huntington, Indiana, has signed her letter of intent to continue her education and bowling career at Huntington University this fall. Newsome will graduate this spring from Huntington North High School and is the second Lady Viking bowler to sign with the University.

A three year varsity member, Newsome bowled on the 2009 and this year’s 2012 Indiana High School State Runner-up Lady Viking team and the 2011 State Finals fifth place team. Her team went undefeated during her three years, won three sectional titles and two state semi-state titles to go along with four straight state final appearances.

“I am very happy to have Eleni bowling at Huntington University this fall,” commented Coach Bischoff. “Eleni comes from one of the premier high school programs in Indiana and will bring a lot of energy and experience to HU.”
