HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University Head Coach Jim Bischoff announced his first men’s bowling recruit for the inaugural 2012 fall season in current Huntington University freshman Tyler Neff.
A 2011 Huntington North High School graduate, Neff bowled for the state ranked HNHS Viking bowling team. As a two-year member of the varsity squad, he averaged a 195 as a sophomore and helped guide his team to an Indiana High School State Final Four appearance. The following year he advanced to Semi-State after registering the high qualifying score in Regionals.
“Tyler will be an important part of our Foresters’ bowling team,” noted Coach Bischoff. “He has a lot of tournament experience, is a great team player and comes from a great high school bowling program. His game will play well to college and I’m very happy to have Tyler as the first bowler for our new Huntington University men’s bowling team this fall.
Huntington University men’s and women’s teams will compete in intercollegiate bowling beginning in the fall of 2012. For information about Huntington University and the Huntington University bowling program contact coach Jim Bischoff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
