Nash earns All-America honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2014 NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field All-Americans and among the list of honorees is Huntington University sophomore Jake Nash.

The Lebanon (Ohio) native finished sixth in high jump with a leap of 6’9 to become the ninth male Forester since 1991 to receive All-America honors. Nash jumped 6’5 in this year’s opening meet and continued his climb up, breaking the school on February 1 at Taylor University with a leap of 6’7 before re-establishing his record at nationals.

Nash was one of eight high jumpers to earn All-America status.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
