Delta High School standout, Sarah Miller, has signed a Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career at Huntington University next fall. Miller began to turn heads as a freshman and continued to impress as a sophomore and junior averaging in double figures each year for the Eagles with her high coming last season at 18.5 points per game. This year as a senior, she should have little trouble attaining a major milestone in her career as she needs just 50 points to reach the 1000th point plateau.
Her accomplishments have earned her numerous accolades including All-Delaware County and All-Area honors all three years to date and Hoosier Heritage First Team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and junior. Miller also was a Hoosier Basketball Magazine All-State Honorable Mention selection the last two years.
Huntington University basketball coach, Lori Culler, is looking forward to Miller’s contributions to the team. “There are two attributes of Sarah’s game that immediately caught my eye, her quickness and her work ethic. You can never have too many players on your roster with those qualities. Sarah also has a scorer’s mentality and a knack for finding ways to put the ball in the hoop. She definitely has potential at both ends of the floor, which is why I expect her to contribute immediately and to have an outstanding career here at Huntington.”
