Men’s basketball media guide receives award

Huntington, Ind.—The 2001-02 Huntington College men’s basketball media guide recently received a top-ten award from the NAIA-SIDA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Sports Information Directors of America). The NAIA-SIDA voted the Forester guide as seventh best in the country in the men’s basketball brochure division.

The 2001-02 men’s basketball media guide was produced by the Huntington College Public Relations and Sports Information offices and printed by Perdue Printed Products in Fort Wayne. The layout and design was created by Bethany (Manter) Doyle, Public Relations Coordinator at the College. Art students Matt Plett and Andrew Kurzen designed the cover.

The 2001-02 men’s Forester basketball team finished second in the Mid-Central Conference and won the MCC Tournament, earning its way to the NAIA National Tournament. They finished with a 26-11 record while producing three All-Americans in senior David Porter and juniors Brett Snodgrass and Adam Hill. The upcoming season will get underway on Tuesday, November 5 in Huntington against Urbana College.
