McDougle commits to HU

 Huntington University softball coach Doug Gower announced that Wayne Trace High School senior, Marcie McDougle, has signed her Letter of Intent to play softball as a Forester this fall.

As a standout pitcher for the Raiders, McDougle established several new school records this past season. Her name is in the season record books for innings pitched (155), strikeouts (266) and wins (19). She also found her way into the career record books in these same categories with innings pitched (443), strikeouts (648) and wins (46).

Her success on the mound during her final season of play garnered her First Team All-Northwest District and First Team All-State honors. She was also recently named the Crescent-News Player of the Year.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
