A highly touted blue chipper, Kasicki comes to Huntington as one of the top tennis players in the Midwest. She splashed onto the scene as a freshman playing number one doubles and establishing herself as one of the top players in the conference as evidenced by her selection to the All-Conference team.

She then wasted no time as a sophomore earning the Vikings’ number one spot in singles and doubles. In addition to repeating as an All-Conference pick, she also qualified for the Illinois High School State Finals during her second season of competition.

This past season Kasicki went undefeated at 10-0 in the conference to earn her third consecutive All-Conference honor. She finished the season 23-4 and went on to capture the sectional title. She capped off her stellar junior year by earning the team’s MVP award and heading back to the State Finals.

Kasicki has also made a name for herself throughout the Midwest as a member of the Rockford USTA Team Tennis Advanced and USTA Marian Baird Team Cup NITA. Finishing with an individual record of 9-2 at the Midwest Championships in Indianapolis, she helped guide her team to a seventh place finish. She also finished with a .500 record at the Marian-Baird Team Cup National Tournament.

With her senior season still ahead of her, Kasicki has been ranked as high as three in the Northern Illinois rankings and as high as 118 in the Midwest rankings.

"I'm very pleased and excited about Cassie continuing her tennis at HU," said Coach Ferguson. "Cassie is a very determined and focused individual and will quickly become one of our team leaders. I knew Cassie was a special talent the first time I talked with her and expect great things from her in the future. "

Cassie is the daughter of Maggie and Neil Kasicki of Rockford, Illinois.
