Judson overpowers Huntington 5-1

ELGIN, Ill. - Ranked #25 in the preseason poll, Judson University lived up to their national reputation as they picked apart the HU women’s soccer team’s defense to cruise to a 5-1 win Wednesday afternoon in Elgin.

The Eagles wasted no time taking control by scoring three goals within the first 29 minutes of the contest to take a 3-0 lead into intermission. They struck again within the first six minutes of the second period before Sam Cubic got one back on a penalty kick at the 74:22 mark. Judson found the back of the net one more time just minutes after the PK to cruise to the 5-1 victory.

Caitlin Adams logged nine saves through the first 72 minutes in goal before Korynne Kik subbed in for the last 18 minutes during which she notched three saves.

The Foresters (1-6) have the weekend off before hosting Trinity Christian College on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
