IWU downs HU in MCC opener

The Foresters battled the heat, injuries and the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats in their Mid-Central Conference opener and fell 8-1.

HU's lone win came at #3 singles when Jameel Brenneman's opponent retired. Gonzalo Vivas had a wrist injury that forced him to retire at #1 singles for the Foresters. The Wildcats dominated allowing HU no more than two games in any singles' set. Matt Cable and Jonathan Brenneman gave IWU the best match of the day as they fell 8-6 at #3 doubles.

With the loss, the men fall to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
