The Mastodons of IPFW scored in the first minute of the game and held off the Foresters over the final 89 minutes to edge HU 1-0.

An early whistle in the Forester box gave the Dons a free kick that they capitalized on for a quick score. It would prove to be the only score of the evening.

The Foresters kept things exciting for their fans. With just over twenty minutes left in the contest Steven McKay fired a shot that hit the post. "Our guys didn't back down," said Coach Lawson. "Offensively we were strong on the ball. We moved the ball well but just couldn't capitalize."
Forester keeper, Kevin Keske, had three saves in the contest. "Kevin had an exceptional game controlling the box and coming off his line," said Coach Lawson.

IPFW outshot the Foresters 16-6 in the match.

"Although we are never satisfied with losing a match, I thought our guys rose to the challenge. I was very pleased with our composure tonight," said Coach Lawson.

With the loss, the Foresters drop to 4-1 on the season. For a complete box score click here.
