HU wraps up indoor season at DePauw

Huntington, Ind. - The Foresters wrapped up the indoor portion of their schedule at the DePauw University Classic on Saturday. The women finished fifth in the team standings and the men finished eighth.

On the men's side, Joseph Herber was the lone Forester to bring home a first place finish. He won the 3000 meters in 8:51.59. Teammates Lance Wood and Alec Rosario crossed the line sixth (9:11.88) and seventh (9:13.44). Other point getters for HU included the distance medley team that finished third in 11:31.14, Todd Fiedler in triple jump (3rd, 42-11.50), Ryan Morris in pole vault (5th, 12-11.50) and Tyler Skinner in pole vault (8th, 12-05.50).

Wabash took the men's team title with a score of 136 followed by Bellarmine (127), Taylor (121), Cumberlands (68), Centre (56), Birmingham-Southern (52), DePauw (47), HU (35), St. Joseph's (25), IUPUI (17), Sewanee (13), Brescia (8), Lindsey Wilson (7) and Calumet-St. Joesph (1).

In women's action, Josann Schoeff led the way with two third place finishes in the 55 meters (7.66) and 200 meters (27.64). Also scoring points for the Foresters was Krystal McHenry in the 5000 meters (8th, 19:34.45), Holly Lutton in the 55 meter hurdles (7th, 10.07) and pole vault (6th, 7-06.50), Megan Karst in the 55 meter hurdles (8th, 10.41), Rachel Bayon in the 55 meters (6th, 7.77), Mariah Town in the 400 meters (6th, 1:04.04) and 200 meters (8th, 28.45), Cendall Ogle in the 3000 meters (4th, 11:05.60), Miranda Boyts in the 3000 meters (7th, 11:58.75) and Diamond Setterberg in the 1000 meters (4th, 3:27.23).

Bellarmine won the women's event with a score of 134 followed by Taylor (109), DePauw (97), Centre (87), HU (43), Birmingham-Southern (40), St. Joseph's (34), Cumberlands (32), IUPUI (29), Lindsey Wilson (18), Brescia (16) and Sewanee (10).
