Playing at home for the last time this season, the Foresters (25-12) ran off three straight wins to claim their own tournament title. Anderson University was second with a 2-1 record, the University of Michigan Dearborn was third with a 1-2 record and Manchester College was 0-3.
On Friday night, HU downed Anderson in three straight 30-27, 30-26, 30-15. Renee Biberstine kept the Foresters' intensity level up with her 14 kills and 11 digs. Amy Wilson had 10 kills and five blocks and Tiffany Malfait chipped in nine kills and a team-leading 10 blocks. Alyssa Schroeder dished out 48 assists and had three aces and Stephanie Stearns led the team with 23 digs.

On Saturday, HU made quick work of Manchester with the 30-26, 30-14, 30-22 win. Malfait, Kayley Cervenka, Natasha Gayday each had seven kills in the match. Cervenka also added three blocks. Schroeder finished with 23 assists, two blocks and two aces and Stearns had 19 digs.

In their final match of the tournament, the Foresters out-lasted Michigan Dearborn for the 30-23, 30-26, 23-30, 27-30, 15-11 victory. HU played the first two games well with the help of Cervenka's blocking. She recorded six blocks in the match and touched a lot of other balls, which helped the Foresters transition into their offense.

The Wolves picked up their intensity in game three and had HU down 23-12 in game four when the momentum began to shift. The Foresters got back within two at 29-27, but Michigan Dearborn put the game away with a kill to even the match.

Although HU lost game four, the Foresters still had the momentum in their favor and rode it to a 4-0 lead and never allowed the Wolves to get any closer to win game five.

Wilson led HU with 12 kills in the match and she added 24 digs. Cervenka put down 11 kills to go along with her six blocks. Malfait chipped in seven kills and six blocks and Stearns dug 34 balls. Schroeder had an all-around game with 43 assists, six blocks and four aces.
