The Foresters (8-21) used some timely hitting to take two games from Bluffton University 6-1 and 6-2.
With 16 strikeouts in game one, HU made the most of its other 11 at-bats to plate six runs. The Foresters got on the board first in the top of the third when Ashley Scally drew a two-out walk. Kaley Fode then drove one over the left field fence to give HU the 2-0 lead. In the fourth, the Foresters took advantage of three hits, two walks and a Beaver error to push four runs across. Bluffton got a run back in the bottom of the fourth, but Lauren Ward secured the win by shutting the Beaver offense down over the final three innings.
Ward finished the game with 12 strikeouts and allowed one run on three hits. Fode had a double to go along with her round-tripper and two RBI. Scally and Brittany Gower each added a hit and drove in two runs.
