Foresters pick up second win

 The HU volleyball team traveled to Lourdes College for a one-day tournament on Saturday and went 1-3 on the day.

The Foresters opened up play against host Lourdes College and grabbed the first two games before dropping the next three, 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 14-25, 13-15. Melissa Grossman came up big with 16 kills to lead the Foresters at the net while Courtney Berger finished with nine.

After dropping their first game against Franciscan University, Huntington stepped by their game to win the next three and claim the 3-1 victory, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19. Kaylee Searles led the way with 11 kills and 10 digs. Berger chipped in ten kills and 12 digs.

Playing their third match of the day, the Foresters came up short against Robert Morris losing in four, 16-25, 17-25, 25-22, 16-25. Searles led a balanced attack with eight kills.

In their final match of the day, HU lost to University of Michigan-Dearborn in three, 17-25, 21-25, 13-25. Grossman again led the way with eight kills. Emilie Jamison led the Foresters in assists compiling a total of 107 on the day.

The Foresters are 2-14. They host Bethel on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
