The Foresters returned to their winning ways defeating the Goshen College Maple Leafs 84-64 in a MCC conference match-up. The Foresters got off to a sluggish start, but a four point play by HC's Kyle Ganton at the fourteen minute mark ignited HC's offense. The Foresters gradually built a 13-point lead over the next seven minutes of play and maintained that cushion through the remainder of the half. and they continued to add to their lead throughout the remainder of the half. The Foresters' 12-4 run to start the second half pushed the lead to 21 at 49-28, but the Maple Leafs battled back to within 66-55 with just over six minutes to play. HC answered with a 6-2 mini-run to end Goshen's threat and put the game out of reach. A strong defensive effort by the Foresters held Goshen to 40.7% shooting in the game, while HC blistered the nets at 57.4%. HC's Ganton took game-high honors with 20 points and teammate Alex Koch chipped in a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Also scoring for the Foresters were HC’s big men Steve Snider with 14 and Chase Verba with 12. The Maple Leafs were led by Paul Kopanski who had 18 points and 7 rebounds.
