Forester men claim 18th at Brunswick Southern Classic

MARIETTA, Ga. - Bowling six regular matches on Saturday and 12 Baker games on Sunday, the HU men’s bowling team came in 18th out of 24 schools at the Brunswick Southern Classic in Marietta, Georgia, over the weekend with a team total of 9,529 pins.

Out of 176 bowlers on Saturday, Joe Miller finished 52nd individually in match play to top HU with a six-game average of 172.7. Dan Miller finished with a 178.4 average for five games while Adam Harris-Shoemaker turned in a 172.0 average for four games. Bowling three games for the Foresters included Seth Walker (177.0 average), Tyler Neff (174.3 average), Connor Brown (173.3 average), James Knapp (168.7 average) and Derek Beckler (161.0 average).

On Sunday, the Foresters finished with a record of 7-5 in their 12 two-game Baker matches.

The top ten overall finishes for the men included Webber International (11,067), McKendree (11,007), Pikeville (10, 739), Lindenwood Belleville (10,697), Morehead State (10,651), Martin Methodist (10,549), Florida State (10,307), Ohio State (10,205), North Texas (10,189) and St. Johns (10,006).

Huntington is back in action on November 16 when they travel to Adrian, Michigan for the AC Open.
