HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University head coach Jim Bischoff has announced that Rochester High School standout Brooke Ewing has signed a letter of intent to bowl for the Foresters this fall.
A two-time captain for her team, Ewing averaged 186 this past season for the Zebras and led the conference with her 192 average as a junior. In addition to finishing 11th at the 2012 Indiana Youth Queens, she also helped guide the 2012 Indiana All-Star team to victory over Kentucky and finished 7th in individual All-Star competition.
Ewing, an individual sectional champion in 2011 and 2012, is also a three-time regional qualifier and two-time semi-state qualifier. She was named to the 2013 Indiana High School Bowling West All-Regional Team and will be competing in the USBC Junior Gold Championships in Detroit, Mich., in July.
With 15 years of competitive bowling under her belt, Ewing has been a top finisher in several tournaments in the Indiana Junior Bowlers Tour. She also has racked up numerous other regional and local titles throughout her career.
