Dreman named Forester Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of October 7, 2013. Women’s soccer junior Kaitlyn Dreman earned the honor for her outstanding effort against Marian University over the weekend.

On Saturday in front of the Homecoming crowd, the Forester women’s soccer team enjoyed its most lopsided match of the season, an 8-2 win over the Knights, with Dreman serving as her team’s catalyst. The Centennial, Colo. native scored her first of two goals within the opening three minutes of action to give HU a lead that would never be relinquished.

Dreman started the final period much like the first, scoring her second goal within the first three minutes of play. She went on assist Olivia Knispel twenty minutes later to earn five points on the day.

To date, Dreman has scored 14 career goals and assisted three others.

The Foresters (4-9, 3-2) hit the road on Tuesday to face Mount Vernon Nazarene University at 4:00 p.m.
