Double overtime games ends in 1-1 tie

A game against Bethel that saw the Foresters strike first, ended in a 1-1 tie after two extra periods.

The Foresters were the aggressors in the first half scoring at the 31:56 mark on a penalty kick by Kristin Calvert. HU took the 1-0 halftime lead.

The Pilots responded with their own goal 15 minutes into the second half to knot the score 1-1. While both teams had scoring opportunities in regulation, neither team could convert sending the game into overtime. After two overtime periods, both teams came up empty handed resulting in the 1-1 tie. In an evenly-matched battle, the Pilots edged the Foresters in shots on goal 15-11. HU Keeper Amy Tavierne recorded eight saves on the day.

The Forester's record not stands at 3-9-1, 0-2-1 in conference action. HU will host Spring Arbor on Tuesday.
